BIOGRAPHY

작가 김가민의  작업은 타인의 시선에 의해 자신을 행동과 모습을 재단하고, 그 기준을 벗어나면 불안을 느꼈던 경험에서 출발한다.

불안의 근원을 찾아가는 과정에서 나는 다른 자신의 모습을 마주하게 되었고, 지난 경험과 감정들을 반추하여 설치작품으로 표현한다. 

구두에서 해체된 구두굽은 당연스럽게 구두를 신었던 자신의 행동과 상황에 따라 변화하는 신체를 상징하는 오브제이다.

Kim Ga-min's work begins with the experience of judging one's behavior and appearance based on the gaze of others, and feeling anxious when one deviates from that standard. 

In the process of finding the source of anxiety, the artist encountered a different side of herself, and past experiences. 

The artist also reflect on her emotions and express them through installation works. The heel that has been removed from the shoe is an object that naturally symbolizes the body that changes depending on the person's actions and the situation in which the shoe was worn.
